Here at Career Exploration and Success, we provide career-related advising, resources, and programs to help individuals discover their interests, values, and skills, explore careers and majors, develop skills through internships and experiential opportunities, and pursue their post-graduate goals.

Career Advising Appointments
Our career advisors are available to assist eligible Rutgers University-New Brunswick students and alumni with a range of career-related issues on an individual basis, such as:
- How Do I Even Get Started?
- Develop a 4-year Career Action Plan
- Assess Your Skills and Interests
- Choose a Major and Explore Careers
- Gain Experience through Internships, Co-ops, and More
- Consider and Apply for Graduate School
- Search for Jobs
The number of appointments scheduled with an advisor will vary depending on the career issue(s) needing attention. RBS–New Brunswick students may also access career advising services through the Office of Career Management.
Virtual Drop-in Career Studio
Join us at the Career Studio — a virtual common space where students can drop in and get on-the-spot assistance with their career journey, from the comfort of their own computer. Staffed by Peer Career Coaches (PCCs), the Studio is a place you can visit as often as you'd like, stay as long as you want, and access career resources without coming to one of our offices. We're here to support your career in the making!

During the Spring '23 semester, the Career Studio will be closed on the following dates: 1/17, 2/16, 2/17, 2/20, 3/10 - 3/17 (Spring Break). The final day to visit the Career Studio is Monday, May 1.
Student-Alumni Career Connections (SACC) is an online database of Rutgers alumni willing to provide career advice. Search alumni by career community, major, job title, employer, and more to learn about their career paths.
Big Interview is a system designed to meet you wherever you are. It combines a step-by-step curriculum of expert video lessons with AI-based virtual practice interview tools to help you improve your interview skills.
Traitify is an innovative career exploration system designed to help you assess your skills, interests, and values.
GoinGlobal provides career information which assists you in pursuing global career paths.
Peterson's Test and Career Prep provides materials for practicing a wide variety of college and graduate school entrance exams.
Rutgers Handshake provides you access to thousands of employment and interview opportunities.
Congratulations, graduates! As you embark on new life adventures, we ask that you share your future plans with our office by completing the Official Post-Graduation Survey linked below. If you cannot log in with your RUID and last name, please email Topher Sutton, Associate Director of Operations, with your RUID, full name, major, school, and email address. Even if you have not decided on your next steps, you can still complete this survey before graduation.
Survey data will help guide our future job development efforts, allow us to create additional job leads for students and alumni, and will be shared with university administrators to provide data for future decision-making. You will be entered into a raffle to win your choice of Apple Air Pods or a $100 Amazon gift card!

Once you have clarity around the values, skills, and interests that are most important to your professional future, you can begin to research regions, employers, and organizations that might create environments where the values identified through your self-assessment process can thrive.
