Through the Student Employee Enrichment (SEE) Program at Rutgers, Tommy Reardon '14 transformed his on-campus job at the Cook Douglass Recreation Center into an opportunity to develop key career skills such as leadership, communication, and adaptability. With guidance from mentors and a commitment to growth, he leveraged these experiences to pursue a successful career in fitness coaching, now serving as Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Plainfield High School.

Dr. Francine Conway Receives Recognition

The Office of Career Exploration and Success celebrated Dr. Francine Conway, Rutgers—New Brunswick Chancellor, as the recipient of the Richard L. Edwards Outstanding Career Advocate Award during the 25 Years of FIGS (First-Year Interest Group Seminars) celebration. Named after the inaugural Chancellor of Rutgers—New Brunswick, Dr. Richard L. Edwards, the award recognizes individuals who significantly advance student career readiness. Dr. Conway, only the second recipient of the award since its creation in 2017, was honored for her transformative contributions to career development and her commitment to embedding “world readiness” into institutional strategies.
