On November 5, 2025, The Office of Career Exploration and Success (CES) hosted its annual Career Ecosystem Breakfast, bringing together faculty and staff from across Rutgers University to celebrate the partnerships that power student success and career readiness.

Held at the Livingston Student Center, the event served as both a celebration and a networking opportunity—recognizing the collective efforts that make Rutgers a truly career-ready campus. Attendees represented a wide range of departments and offices, each playing a vital role in shaping the student experience and fostering a culture of collaboration.

Honoring Outstanding Campus Partners

A highlight of the morning was the presentation of the 2025 Campus Partner of the Year Awards, recognizing faculty and staff who have gone above and beyond to support CES’s mission and enhance the student career journey through collaboration and innovation.

This year’s honorees included:

  • Veronica Armour, Director for the Innovation, Design, & Entrepreneurship Academy
  • Ramona White, Senior Human Resources Consultant, Business Partner Services
  • Dana Shapiro, Director of Volunteer Engagement, Rutgers University Foundation
  • Autumn Misuraco, Director of Events and Programming, Rutgers Athletics

Each recipient was nominated by CES staff for their dedication to creating meaningful connections that help students explore, prepare for, and achieve their career goals. “What an amazing event,” shared Ramona White, who was nominated by the CES Career Operations and Strategic Initiatives team. “I’m so honored to even have a small part in all of the amazing things that CES has going on.”

Building a Career-Ready Campus Together

The event opened with remarks from Barbara Thomson, Director of Career Operations and Strategic Initiatives, who reflected on the impact of cross-campus collaboration and the importance of recognizing the individuals who make it possible.

“The CES Career Ecosystem Breakfast is a wonderful way for our team to express gratitude to the campus partners who help us engage students and support their career goals,” said Thomson. “My favorite part of this event is contacting our award winners to let them know they’ve been selected—it’s such a joy to share in their excitement.”

The program also featured remarks from Provost Jason Geary and Executive Director of Career Exploration and Success William (Wil) Jones Jr., alongside CES staff presentations that showcased key initiatives and powerful partnerships driving the university’s career-readiness mission forward.

Through initiatives like the Career Ecosystem Breakfast, CES continues to strengthen relationships across the university—connecting faculty, staff, and administrators to a shared vision of preparing every Rutgers student for meaningful success beyond graduation.
