A Shared Campus Language
Building a Career-Ready Campus starts with a shared understanding of what career readiness means and how we help students achieve it. Common definitions create alignment across Rutgers, ensuring faculty, staff, and partners use the same language to describe how students discover themselves, develop skills, and prepare for life after graduation. Students should hear these terms consistently so the language of career readiness becomes familiar and reinforced throughout their experience.
Student Employee Enrichment (SEE) Program
The SEE Program transforms on-campus employment into a meaningful career development experience. It equips supervisors with training and resources to help student employees connect their daily work to the NACE Career Competencies, fostering reflection and recognition throughout the year.
As part of the program, CES will host an On-Campus Job Fair to help departments recruit student employees and promote opportunities across the university. The program also includes the annual celebration of student colleagues and supervisors during National Student Employment Week each April, honoring excellence in student employment and mentorship.

Recruit at an On-Campus Jobs Fair
The On-Campus Jobs Fair provides Rutgers departments with a focused opportunity to connect with students seeking on-campus employment. Organized by CES Student Colleagues and offered under the Student Employment Enrichment (SEE) Program, the fair is held once each semester—typically within the first two weeks students return to campus—and the inaugural event attracted nearly 700 students. Many of the positions recruited through the fair offer high-impact experiences by intentionally connecting student work to the NACE Career Readiness Competencies. As part of registration, departments are asked to explain how their positions build these competencies, helping students see on-campus employment as a meaningful step in their career development.
Reserve Interview Space
On-campus departments can reserve the CES Interview Suite or individual interview rooms—located in the Busch Student Center—at no cost, based on space availability. These professional spaces are ideal for conducting interviews for cohort-based graduate programs, single or multiple positions, or other recruitment needs.
To check availability or make a reservation, contact Zac Stager, Sr. Assistant Director of Recruiting Programs & Employer Engagement.
Expand Access to Career Resources
The Rutgers community expands access by connecting students to career resources that remove barriers and open doors to opportunity.
