Om Nirav Patel

Om is a Research and Assessment Coordinator with the Career Exploration and Success offices. His responsibility lies in the post-graduation survey process, survey development, and data analysis and reporting for departments across the university. Om has experience in student services and technical research. He proctors exams for students with disabilities at Rutgers and has worked on deep learning and embedded systems projects, bringing a well-rounded background in his field. Om is pursuing his Master's in Computer Science at Rutgers. He earned his Bachelor's in Information and Communication Technology in India, researching deep learning for Deforestation Detection and Image Super Resolution in satellite imagery.

"My advice to other students is not to overlook the value of data and insights. Even outside a technical major, it helps you understand what's really going on, gain insight into yourself, and make better decisions no matter what field you're in."
