RWJ Barnabas Health currently employs over 500 medical scribes at 12 Emergency Department and Hospitalist sites in New Jersey.  

Our scribes are hard-working, focused, and reliable individuals who work in fast-paced environments requiring high level attention to detail.  Many of our applicants are prospective medical school, PA school, MHA and nursing school students. We are looking to hire students who are looking to work in a healthcare setting, develop valuable skills, and gain experience working with clinicians.

The Medical Scribe provides Emergency and Hospitalist Medicine Department clinicians with documentation assistance and follow-up on diagnostics/consults/orders, etc. This assistance is crucial in providing clinicians additional time to directly speak to and consult with patients. This is a great opportunity for entry level healthcare professionals to build on medical knowledge and gain invaluable clinical exposure in working alongside numerous MDs, NPs, and PAs.
