Our basic requirements for eligibility consist of:
- 1 year of general work experience (35+hrs)or 4- year degree (or combination, every full year of college = 3 months’ work experience, part- time must equal 1820 hours)
- You must be a U.S. citizen to apply for this position
- Referred for selection prior to your 40th birthday (waiver for eligible veterans)
- You must have resided in the U.S. for at least 3 of the last 5 years
- You must meet job-related medical, fitness (20 push-ups in 60 seconds, 25 sit ups in 60 seconds, and a step test - 120 steps for 5 minutes on a 14-inch stepper), and drug-testing standard
- You must successfully pass a polygraph exam
- You must successfully pass a background investigation
- You must have a valid driver's license
- Convictions of misdemeanor crime of domestic violence are disqualifying
- Drug use within the previous 3 years is also disqualifying (No marijuana use, within last 90 days)
- You will be required to carry a firearm
- You will be required to work regular and recurring shift work
- Willingness to relocate to southwest border for initial assignment.
