2024 Schonfeld Early Engagement (SEE) Summit - PhD Datathon

We are excited to offer an opportunity for a diverse group of talented 2nd and 3rd-year PhD students to join the 2024 Schonfeld Early Engagement (SEE) Summit – PhD Datathon. During this two-day interactive event, you will discover how you can apply your academic skills to the real world of finance.
The program is scheduled for Thursday, April 18, and Friday, April 19, 2024, in New York City. Travel and lodging will be covered for students outside of the tri-state area.
Attending the SEE Summit you will have the opportunity to participate in an interactive datathon leveraging real-world datasets. You will work with a team of your peers and Schonfeld portfolio managers/researchers for a chance to win a Schonfeld prize and gain early insight into the recruitment process for summer 2025.
Throughout the day you will also acquire knowledge while engaging with senior leaders, through networking with other graduates, and by being immersed in the culture and atmosphere of Schonfeld.
After attending SEE, you will have gained valuable knowledge about our business, built lasting relationships, and feel prepared to apply for our summer internships - all while experiencing life at Schonfeld and our welcoming community.
What you need:
-To be pursuing your PhD degree in a quantitative or technical field such as statistics, mathematics, physics, electrical engineering, or computer science (ideally with 2 years left in your academic program)
-While finance knowledge is a plus, it is not required to apply - Brought to you by the Office of Career Exploration and Success
