Susan Bennett
Associate Director of First-Year Career Engagement
Susan leads a team focused on engaging new students in their career journeys. This group coordinates the First-Year Interest Group Seminars (FIGS), 1-credit courses in which student leaders teach their peers about a major or career and RU resources.
Susan has worked with first-year students since 2009 in new student orientation, residence life, student activities, academic advising, and teaching. Before joining the Rutgers community, she worked at Monmouth University and Sacred Heart University.
Named "Outstanding Career Services Professional" by the Hire B1G10 Career Consortium in 2024, Susan earned a bachelor's degree in sociology and education at Bucknell University and a master's degree in college student personnel at Miami University.
