Associate Director of First-Year Career Engagement
In my role, I work with the First-Year Career Engagement team to coordinate the First-Year Interest Group Seminars (FIGS). Our courses support students in their transition to college by helping them to develop a sense of direction and a plan for their time at Rutgers.
I have worked with first-year students through roles in orientation, academic advising and student activities. I am passionate about helping students redefine career as “purpose” and using their full college experience, from day one, to explore and prepare for a life of purpose. My advice for students is to pay attention to the kinds of projects, classes, and experiences that excite you, even when they might not seem career-oriented. Think about the work, teams, and environments where you have thrived! There are clues everywhere about your purpose.
