Student Employee Roundtable (In-Person)

Your student employment experience matters, and your feedback can help improve student employment at Rutgers. This facilitated roundtable creates space for student employees to share what is working, what is challenging, and what would make student employment more meaningful and supportive. You will have a chance to exchange ideas with peers, reflect on your experience, and offer input that can shape future programming and resources.

What You Will Learn and Do

You will:

• Share your experience in a respectful, student-centered environment


• Hear how other student employees navigate common challenges and build confidence at work


• Identify what helps students feel supported through onboarding, supervision, and communication


• Contribute ideas that can strengthen student employment, training, and career readiness support


• Leave with practical takeaways you can apply in your own role

• Want to make your student employment experience more meaningful


• Have ideas for improving training, communication, or workplace culture


• Want to learn from other student employees and feel more connected to the community


• Want a space to reflect on your growth and what you want from your role

How to prepare

Come ready to share ideas! If you can, think about one thing that has helped you succeed in your role and one improvement you would recommend to strengthen student employment (no names needed).
