SEE Reflection and NACE Growth Mapping (In-Person)

Your student employment experience is building skills that employers care about. This guided reflection session will help you identify and document how you have grown through your SEE experience using the NACE career readiness competencies. You will connect your day-to-day work to real skills, capture examples you can use for your resume, LinkedIn, and interviews, and leave with clear next steps for your career journey.

What You Will Learn and Do

You will:

  • Reflect on your SEE experience and identify specific moments of growth this semester

  • Map your growth to the NACE career readiness competencies using guided prompts

  • Draft concrete examples you can use for interviews and networking conversations

  • Identify your strongest skills and a focused area for continued development

  • Create a next-step plan for summer or the next semester, including experiences to pursue and resources to use

Great fit for you if you:

  • Want to clearly communicate what you have gained from your student job

  • Need strong examples for resumes, LinkedIn, internships, or job interviews

  • Want to build confidence by seeing your progress and strengths

  • Want a plan for what to pursue next in your college-to-career journey

How to prepare

Bring a laptop if possible. If you can, bring a copy of your resume or a simple list of what you worked on this semester (projects, responsibilities, accomplishments, and challenges you overcame). Come ready to reflect and participate!
