Professional Branding: LinkedIn and SACC Deep Dive (In-Person)
You can have great experience and still get overlooked if your story is not coming through clearly online. This advanced workshop will help you refine your LinkedIn profile, build a stronger professional narrative, and use Rutgers Student Alumni Career Connect (SACC) to expand your network with intention.
What You Will Learn and Do
You will leave with:
- Refine your headline, About section, and experience descriptions so they communicate a clear direction
- Strengthen how you describe your impact and skills using specific, employer-friendly language
- Learn how to use SACC to identify alumni, request conversations, and build professional relationships
- Draft messages for outreach and follow-up that feel professional and natural
- Build a personal brand plan you can use to stay consistent on LinkedIn over time
Great fit for you if you:
- Already have a LinkedIn profile and want to elevate it beyond the basics
- Want to network with alumni but need a clear plan and language to reach out
- Want to align your LinkedIn profile with internship, research, or job goals
- Want a stronger narrative that connects your experiences into a clear “next step”
How to prepare

If possible, bring one of the following so you can apply the workshop in real time: a recent resume draft, a job or internship posting you are targeting, or a short list of roles you are interested in.
