Conflict Resolution and Navigating Feedback (In-Person)
Workplace challenges happen, even in student jobs. What matters most is how you respond. In this workshop, you will learn practical strategies for handling conflict constructively, communicating during difficult moments, and responding to feedback in a way that supports growth. You will practice how to stay composed, seek clarity, and turn feedback into action steps that strengthen your performance and working relationships.
What You Will Learn and Do
You will:
- Learn how to address conflict early and professionally before it escalates
- Practice communication strategies for tense or uncomfortable situations
- Build confidence using respectful language to clarify expectations and resolve issues
- Learn how to receive feedback without getting defensive, including how to ask follow-up questions
- Create a simple plan for applying feedback and tracking your growth over time

- Have received feedback and were not sure how to respond or improve
- Want tools for communicating with supervisors and teammates in challenging moments

How to prepare
Come ready to participate! If you can, think about a time you received feedback or experienced a workplace challenge and what you wish you had done differently (no names needed). You will not be asked to share personal details unless you choose to.
