Rutgers Virtual Career & Internship Mega Fair: Technology, Engineering, Healthcare, and Green-Related Positions

CANDIDATE INFORMATION:

This event is one of two virtual fairs replacing the in-person Winter Career & Internship Mega Fair, and is exclusively for employment opportunities with a focus on: Technology, Engineering, Healthcare, and Green-Related Positions. The fair label represents the types of jobs employers offer, NOT the industry with which they align. Employers from multiple sectors could recruit for these types of roles. We encourage all candidates to research organizations and what positions they are recruiting for before the event. We encourage you to explore the list of registered employers consider attending both days, as appropriate. 

About the Virtual Format:

• Communication and Technology: Employers and candidates will connect via video conference or chat (depending on the employer and candidate preference). A standard web camera and microphone are required to use the videoconferencing option.
• Scheduled Individual Meetings: Prior to the virtual fair, candidates can schedule a 10-minute window of time to speak with a participating employer. These spots are very limited but are not the only mechanism for you to connect. Some employers may still have availability on the day of the fair.
  
• Drop-in Group Sessions: During the fair, employers will have up to three 30-minute group sessions where they will meet with candidates. These group sessions do not require advanced scheduling.
• Virtual Career Fair Help Desk: Questions or concerns? Visit us on Zoom between 10:45 am and 3:00 pm to chat with Career Exploration and Success staff members. Link available on Feb 27.

Preparing for the Fair: Rutgers Handshake Documents: Be sure to upload one or more resumes to your Handshake profile. You will have the opportunity to submit that resume to an employer during the virtual event. Research Employers: Employers do not like it when candidates ask what positions an organization offers if they are posted on the fair platform prior to the event. It's important that you come prepared to speak with employers by researching their organization information within Rutgers Handshake. Use your time to ask follow-up questions about specific positions you saw associated with their organization profile, and how your experiences best prepare you to be their ideal candidate.
