2026 Sophomore Insight Program - New York (Day 1 of 3)
The Insight Program is a three-day, in-person educational workshop designed to give college sophomores a taste of life within the Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) division of Standard Chartered. Join us to get first-hand insights into what a career with us could look like, with the opportunity to be considered first for the 2027 summer internship program in our New York office. Our paid internship programs, in turn, act as a pipeline into our graduate opportunities.
The 2026 Insight Program will take place from February 4-6, 2026
Who can apply

All students who meet the below eligibility criteria are encouraged to apply. Eligibility criteria for all students are as follows:
- Any major or area of study
- Must be in your sophomore year of college with a graduation date in between December 2027 and June 2028
The Program
Upon joining the program, you will be fully immersed into the banking world, with the opportunity to experience our culture, learn new skills, and gain an understanding of the route you might want to take after university
You will also:
- Learn about Standard Chartered and our global structure
- Hear from senior leaders within our CIB division which includes Markets (Sales, Trading, & Structuring), Global Banking, Client Coverage, and Transaction Banking
- Meet with current graduates to find out what their day-to-day work looks like
- Shadow colleagues in different areas of the business
- Learn how to make an impact as an intern
- Attend resume review and interview tips sessions with our Early Careers Team
- Be considered first for our 2027 summer internship program
How to Apply
To apply for a place on this program, students should submit their application via this link before the closing date of November 28. You will be invited to participate in a short online assessment. Successful applicants will be contacted by a member of the Early Careers team and will join us in New York February 4-6.
The Insight Program is an unpaid educational workshop; however, travel and accommodation will be reimbursed for students outside of the immediate NYC/NJ area.
