Each fall semester, there are seventy-five FIGS classes offered to first-year students enrolled in the School of Arts and Sciences, the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences, and the Rutgers Business School.
FIGS courses are taught by Peer Instructors, and enrollment numbers are capped at 25 to keep classes more intimate and engaging. FIGS students have a unique opportunity to explore an exciting topical area and potential majors, meet fellow students with similar academic interests, get to know a helpful mentor, network with faculty and staff from across the university, and discover the many resources and opportunities to be found at Rutgers.
Students can indicate their FIGS course preferences when they attend an advising day. If you did not indicate interest in taking a FIGS at your advising day or were not placed in a FIGS, first-year students can add a FIGS during the Drop/Add period at the beginning of the fall semester. Visit WebReg to register for FIGS courses (course number 01:090:120). To see the list of available FIGS, visit the Schedule of Classes. Don’t delay. FIGS fill quickly.
