First-Year Interest Group Seminars (FIGS)

The primary goal of First-year Interest Group Seminars (FIGS) is to provide Rutgers students with the knowledge and resources they need to write success stories.

We understand that transitions are difficult, especially the transition from high school to college. With this in mind, we’ve developed engaging one-credit courses–taught by a select group of experienced Peer Instructors–that introduce first-year students to dozens of exciting fields and to a wide range of involvement, academic, and professional development opportunities here at Rutgers.

If, as the old adage goes, we write our lives one day at a time, we at FIGS want to help you start writing. What will your Rutgers story be?

Applications are currently open for students interested in becoming a FIGS Peer Instructor. Learn more about becoming a peer instructor here.
