As the Director of Employer Relations, I provide leadership and strategic direction for employer service delivery, with the primary goal of developing opportunities for students. This includes assisting employers across all businesses and industries with the process of identifying talent through involvement in on-campus interviewing, career fairs, and job listings. Also, the employer relations team facilitates career focused programs and events to engage employers with students.

I joined University Career Services in 1985, serving in multiple roles including career counselor, assistant director, internship services manager, and senior associate director of the Career and Interview Center.

I earned a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in college counseling from the University of Buffalo. I continued my graduate studies at Rutgers School of Management and Labor Relations to earn a M.S. in Human Resources Management to complement my work with employers.

My advice to students is to start your career planning early and use your summers wisely. Employers seek candidates who possess related work experience. The most successful students have acquired skills and experience throughout their entire college education, building upon each accomplishment. Internships, research, study abroad, leadership and civic engagement are all examples of how you can build your experience. Your network, which should be developed and cultivated now with fellow students, alumni, faculty, staff and employers will prove invaluable when you are seeking your first internship, job and beyond.
