Field Trip: U.S. Department of State, New York Field Office (Campus-to-Careers Series)

Explore the possibilities through the new Campus-to-Careers Student Field Trip Series coordinated by University Career Services! During this trip, you will learn about various opportunities and network with professionals at the U.S. Department of State, NY Field Office (https://www.state.gov/m/ds/about/101228.htm).

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Juniors, Seniors, and Graduate Students with an interest in criminal justice, political science, international affairs, prelaw, government, leadership and management, and planning and public policy. This field trip will focus on the process of becoming a Foreign Service DS Special Agent. This trip is open to ALL MAJORS.

REQUIREMENTS: You must be a U.S. citizen to participate. As part of the registration process, you will need to provide your social security number and bring a government issued photo ID on the day of the visit.

SCHEDULE: Participants need to arrive at the Busch Campus Center – Room 116ABC by 10:15AM to check-in and receive a boxed lunch; the bus will depart at 11:00AM; the site visit is scheduled from 12:00PM – 3:30PM. The bus is expected to return to campus by 4:45PM.

RECOMMENDED ATTIRE: Please bring as little as possible with you. We will provide all participants with a pen and portfolio for you to take notes.
